How Beta Pi gives back, on campus and beyond.
988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a nationwide, 24/7 service that provides free, confidential support to individuals facing mental health crises. Raising awareness and funds for this vital resource helps ensure that no one has to face their struggles alone.
Free, confidential, and open 24/7.
How We Give Back
Our brothers make time to give back to the community we call home. Through philanthropy events, volunteering, and community outreach, Beta Pi brings members together to support causes they care about and make a meaningful impact on the University of Miami and the surrounding community.
We believe that the strength of our brotherhood comes with a responsibility to make a difference beyond our chapter. With such a close-knit community and strong presence on campus, we recognize the importance of using our collective reach and resources to uplift others. Giving back not only allows us to make a positive impact but also provides opportunities to connect with people outside our chapter, learn from their experiences, and strengthen the community around us.
Our Commitment to Service
Service has a dedicated place in our chapter leadership. Our Executive Vice President coordinates community outreach and service opportunities throughout the semester, ensuring that giving back remains a consistent and meaningful part of our brotherhood.
Throughout the year, our brothers participate in a variety of philanthropic initiatives, from partnering with Kids & Culture to volunteer at the Gibson Bethel Community Center to collaborating with nonprofit organizations that support causes our members are passionate about. We also dedicate an entire Week of Kindness to completing acts of kindness across the University of Miami campus, spreading positivity and encouraging others to pay it forward. Additionally, our chapter participates in the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline Walk and hosts a semesterly Philanthropy Week, bringing our community together through fundraising events and activities that raise awareness and support for 988.
With over 200 members, our chapter brings together a diverse range of passions, experiences, and connections. We encourage brothers to introduce causes that are meaningful to them and take an active role in organizing opportunities to give back. By combining our individual passions with the collective strength of our brotherhood, we aim to create a lasting impact on our community while fostering a commitment to service that extends far beyond our college years.
